Silly faces inspire smiles. What else can a silly face do?

I pledge to donate $1 to RMHC for each silly face captured in a group photo at venues I perform in 2014. I plan to continue in 2015 and up the game somehow.

Follow marcdobson.com/sillyfacefundraiser or facebook.com/theonemanbandmarcdobson to see what a Silly Face Fundraiser can do to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities. If your going to an event I’m at, maybe you’ll be inspired to put on a silly face, bring your camera and/or DONATE if you want.

Why am I doing this?

In 2013, I had a blast capturing “Silly Face Group Photo’s with The One Man Band” at fairs across the USA. The Silly Face Photo photo idea stemmed from trying to capture big crowd photos of my show for promo purposes. How ever many people looked blank, like they were watching TV so at some point, I started to ask crowds to put hands up for a photo. At the 2012 NC State Fair a lady held up her baby (photo to left) and that one sort of silly thing inspired me to direct crowds into “silly photos”. All through 2013 I challenged my audiences to pose for a photo and it went from “silly photo” to “silly face photo”. At 2013 end I got a 62 silly face photo at the NC State Fair with assistance from Wacky Wheeler, Steve Trash, NC State Fair Staff, NC Law Enforcement and vendors.

I chose RMHC because my son had open heart surgery a few years ago. The hearts which hugged us while staying at a Ronald McDonald House astounded me.
